Hoy os propongo un proyecto que he realizado con lana sobrante de otros proyectos. Tengo un cuaderno con tapas de cartón en el que apunto todos los encargos que la gente me hace, materiales que utilizo, precios, medidas, etc. Me resultaba muy aburrido ver el cuaderno así…y mi mente empezó a pensar en…

Today my proposal is a project that I’ve made with leftover wool from another items. I have a notebook with cardboard covers where I write down all my orders, the stuff I employ and its price, sizes, etc. It was boring to see the notebook like this so…my mind began to think about…

hacerle una funda de ganchillo. Con lana granate empecé a tejer un punto sencillo que había visto empleado para hacer cuellos…

doing a crochet cover. I began to chochet it with maroon wool in a simple stitch I’ve seen used to make cowl necks.

Hay que fijar la funda a la espiral mediante un pespunte que cosí con lana verde, la misma que luego emplearía para el borde. El borde está tejido en punto bajo.

You must fix the cover to the notebook’s spiral sewing it with backstitch. I used a green wool, the same wool i’d use later to make the edge. The edge is crocheted in single crochet.

Y por último, pero no por ello menos importante, rematamos la funda cosiendo los bordes para que no se salgan de la tapa de cartón, y hacemos una tira y un botón que cosemos para cerrar nuestro cuaderno. Para ello volvemos a utilizar la lana granate y dejamos la lana verde para el pespunte del ojal.

And last but not least, we finish the cover sewing the edges to prevent them from escaping the cardboard covers, and we crochet and then sew a band and a button to close our notebook. Again we use the maroon wool for the band and the green one to sew the  buttonhole backstitch.

Y voilá!
