¿Os he contado ya que me encanta hacer cosas para bebés? Pues aún a riesgo de repetirme hoy os enseño mi primer muñeco a ganchillo. Lo he hecho por encargo para una amiga que quería un regalo especial, hecho a mano para una niña que acaba de nacer. Did I ever tell you that I’m delighted to create baby’s stuff? At the risk of being repetitive, today I present you mi first crocheted doll. I’ve made it for a friend who wanted a very special handmade gift for a newborn baby girl. Me encantó uno de los diseños que venía en el interior de la revista, pero yo lo hice con una lana extra-suave especial para bebés en tonos rosa y beige…¡manos a la obra!. Primero tejemos la cabeza y la rellenamos de miraguano.

I loved one of the designs I found inside the magazine, but I crocheted it with a special extra-soft baby’s wool in pink and beige colours…so let’s get down to work! First of all we crochet the head and we fill it with acrylic cotton.

Luego confeccionamos el cuerpo que va unido a la cabeza y tiene forma de asa. Después tejemos los brazos y las orejas, y los cosemos.

Next we knit the body which is joined to the head and it has a handle shape. Afterwards we crochet the arms and the ears, and we sew them.

Por último, con lana negra bordamos los ojos y la boca. Aunque en el modelo original los ojos están hechos en fieltro y pegados, he pensado que al ser el muñeco para un bebé, es más seguro que vayan cosidos.

Finally, we embroider eyes and mouth with black wool. In the original pattern, the eyes are made of felt and glued to the wool, but despite this, I have thought it’s safer for a baby that the eyes were sewn. 

¡Aquí lo tenéis! Blandito, suave, amoroso…el regalo ideal para el recién nacido. No os olvidéis de envolverlo en papel de celofán transparente, atarlo con un lazo y ponerle la etiqueta…

Hhere you are! Mushy, softy, delicate…the ideal gift for a newborn baby. Don’t forget to wrap it in clear cellophane paper, to tie it with a ribbon and to put your label in it.
