ya es viernes y hace una temperatura inusualmente cálida para esta época del año, lo que me lleva a enseñaros unos trabajos de ganchillo que hice este verano, pero que finalmente enmarqué y colgué el fin de semana pasado.

Hi everybody!

today is Friday at last and the weather is quite warm for the season. That’s the reason why I present you these summer works that I finally framed and hung last weekend.

Estos magníficos diseños son de la Revisa Labores del Hogar de hace un par de años. Ya en su día me parecieron preciosos, pero es que además tenía hilo de la marca Anchor Freccia en color rojo, que me sobró de otro trabajo, así que no pude resistirme y empecé a ganchillar…

These awesome designs are from a two years ago publication from «Labores del Hogar» magazine. They seemed gorgeous to me then, and also I had some leftover thread from Anchor Freccia brand indeed. So I couln’t resist it and I began to crochet…

Mirad que delicadeza de trabajo…/See how delicate it is…

Una vez terminados los dos diseños, pensé que lo mejor era ponerles un marco y un fondo en blanco, para que destacara el calado y el color del hilo. Y encontré unos marcos muy baratos en Ikea. Fijamos la labor de ganchillo a la cartulina del fondo con un poco de pegamento especial para tejidos, de forma que no se mueva.

Once I had finished the two projects, I thought it was better to find a white frame and background, to highlight the lace and the thread shade. I found some very cheap frames in Ikea. Then we fixed the crochet to the background card with a little amount of a special thread glue, so that it won’t move.

y solo nos falta colgar los dos cuadros en la pared…

and we only have to hang both from the wall…

Es la primera vez que enmarco una labor de ganchillo, y la verdad es que estoy muy contenta con el resultado. Sencillo, moderno y bonito… ¿Os apuntáis a este nuevo estilo en decoración? Espero que sí…¡Hasta la semana que viene!
