parecía que no iba a llegar este año, pero ya está aquí el invierno. Con las buenas temperaturas que ha habido, nos habíamos olvidado del frío. ¿Qué podemos hacer para entrar en calor?

It seemed that winter wouldn’t arrive this year, but it’s here. With the mild temperatures we have been enjoying, we had forgotten the cold. What can we do to warm ourselves up?

¿Cuál habéis escogido? Yo elijo una combinación de las tres, porque hacer ganchillo junto a la chimenea, acompañado de una taza de té calentito, me parece la mejor de las ideas para combatir el frío.

Which one have you chosen? In my case, I’m keen on a mixture of the three, because there’s nothing better than crocheting close to the chimney, with a warm cup of tea.

Así hoy os presento mi último proyecto de ganchillo: un cuello tejido a ganchillo para mi marido. Para esta ocasión he elegido una lana gruesa y calentita en tono gris. El punto escogido es el punto de estrella, que en esta lana queda muy tupido, por lo que hará que esta prenda resulte muy abrigada. Además, cunde mucho, y en un par de tardes lo podéis tener acabado.

Today I show you my last crochet project: a crochet cowl for my husband. This time I’ve selected a warm and chunky yarn in grey shade. I’ve crocheted it with the star stitch, that finally turned out quite thick while using this kind of yarn, so that your cowl will be very warm. This stitch is extremely effective. In fact, you can finish this project during two afternoons.

Tejemos un rectángulo del largo deseado, lo rematamos con una vuelta de punto bajo, y le hacemos una presilla para poder sujetar el cuello con un botón.

We crochet a rectangle of the desired length, then we finish it with a single crochet row ending, and in the end, we sew a loop to close the cowl by hooking in the button.

Rematamos bien el hilo de la presilla y el del final de cuello, escondiéndolo por debajo de los puntos con la ayuda de una aguja lanera.

We hide the loop yarn and the ending yarn down several stitches with a woollen needle.

¡Y ya solo falta que el destinatario de la prenda se la pruebe y se abrigue!

It only lacks the recipient of the garment trying it and wrapipng himself up with it!
