hace una semana mis padres celebraron que llevan casados 45 años. ¡45 AÑOS! ¡Más de media vida juntos! Quise hacerles un regalo muy especial, que tuvieran un recuerdo para toda la vida y que fuera para los dos. Empecé a indagar por internet, y resulta que descubrí que el 45 aniversario de boda es llamado «bodas de zafiro». La verdad es que no vi nada que me convenciera, pero encontré la inspiración en unas láminas en https://www.etsy.com y como bien sabéis, no puedo resistirme al «do it yourself».
One week ago my parents celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. 45 Years married! More than half their life! I wanted to make them a very special gift, so that they could share a great memory of this date. I began to search through the internet, and I discovered that the 45th wedding anniversary is called «sapphire wedding anniversary». The truth is that I didn’t find anything that suited me, but I found my inspiration in some paper sheets in https://www.etsy.com, and as you may already know, I can’t resist «DIY».
Empecé por el diseño por ordenador con mi programa PC Stitch, acompañada de una buena taza de té para abrir mi mente…
I began with the design, using my computer program PC Stitch, accompanied by a good tea cup to open my mind…
Y luego empecé con el bordado, tomando el color azul como principal en diferentes tonos, para que hiciera referencia a las bodas de zafiro.
Then, I started to embroider taking the blue colour as the pallette base, in its different shades, referring to the sapphire anniversary.
Y tachán!/ Ta-dah!
¿Qué os parece? A ellos les encantó y desde luego es un recuerdo para que lo recuerden siempre. ¡No puedo esperar a verlo enmarcado!
